Narrow down the list you’re in, or search the whole team with quick find.

The search box, status filter, and sort above a list narrow down that list. To find any project or space in the team and open it right away, use quick find.

Search the list you’re in

The search box sits above a space’s list and above the Recent, Favorites, and Works lists. The home page doesn’t have one. First open the list you want to search from the sidebar.

  1. Search by name

Type part of a project’s name in the search box above the list. The box names the list, as in ‘Search in Default Space’. As you type, only cards with those letters in their title or description stay. To see everything again, click the × Clear search button at the end of the box.

Typing part of a name in the search box narrows the cards, and choosing the In Progress chip and then the Title sort changes the list again. Video: Typing part of a name in the search box above a space’s list narrows the cards. Clicking the In Progress chip and then choosing Title from the sort menu leaves the matching cards in A to Z order.
  2. Filter by status

Choose one of the status chips next to the search box: All, Draft, In Progress, Under Review, or Published. Only projects with that status stay. On phones 640 px wide or less, click the ‘Status: All’ button instead and choose from its menu.

  3. Change the order

Click the sort button on the right. It shows the current sort, which starts as Recently updated. Choose Recently updated, Date created, or Title from the menu. Below them, choose Newest first or Oldest first to flip the direction. With Title, the directions become A to Z and Z to A. The Recent list keeps the order you opened things in, so it has no sort button.

Switch between grid and list

Use the Grid View and List View buttons at the top right of a list to switch between cards and rows. Studio remembers your choice for next time.

The list has Name, Status, Play Access, and Edited columns. Click the Name or Edited column header to sort by it, and click it again to reverse the order.

Search the whole team with quick find

  1. Open quick find

Click Search in the sidebar, or press ⌘K. When the cursor isn’t in a text field, the / key opens it too. The current team’s name shows at the right of the field, because quick find searches that team. When the sidebar is folded away, or missing as on a phone, click the magnifier Search button at the right of the top bar.

Pressing ⌘K opens quick find, typing part of a name brings up the project, and ↩ opens it. Video: Pressing ⌘K opens quick find with the team name on the right. Typing part of a name brings the project up in the Projects group, and pressing Enter starts opening it.
  2. Find and open

Type the name you’re looking for. Results come grouped as actions, spaces, and projects. Projects in this team that don’t show up at first are found by title when you pause, and added a moment later. Move through the results with ↑ and ↓, and press ↩ to open one. You can also click a result.

The search box above a list searches only that list

It never finds projects in another space or another team. To search the whole team, use quick find. For another team’s projects, switch to that team first, as Teams and spaces shows. When nothing matches, you see ‘Nothing found in …’ and a Clear filters button, which resets the search and the status filter.

When you change lists, and in the editor

Tip

Opening another list clears the search. When you open another space or list from the sidebar, the search and status filter are cleared and every card in that list shows.

Tip

The editor has no quick find. Quick find lives only on the Studio screens. In the editor, ⌘K opens the AI dock, and ⌘F opens the Search panel, which finds text and names inside the project. See AI Assistant and Search and notes.
