Make a project from one line with AI.

Write what you want to make in one line in Studio, and AI first plans the scenes, then designs each scene in the editor, one at a time. You can edit the finished project like any other.

Make a project with AI

Create with AI is in Studio on the web and in the desktop and tablet apps. You need to be signed in, with an account that can use the AI assistant. If you don’t see the box, see When you can’t create first.

  1. Write what to make

The AI box is under “What will you make?” at the top of the Studio home. The window that opens when you click New project has the same box at the top. On a personal team with no space yet, it’s on the first screen. In the box, write what you want to make in one line. Click an example sentence below the box to fill it in. To start a new line, press ⇧↩. You can write up to 8,000 characters.

Typing a line under “What will you make?” shows the most credits it can use and turns on Create. Video: Typing “A social media plan for a small neighborhood cafe” into the box under “What will you make?” at the top of the Studio home brightens the light around it, shows “Up to 50 credits,” and turns on Create.
  2. Choose a style

The first chip in the row below the box shows the name of the style you picked. At first it’s the style you last picked on this device. If you’ve never picked one, it’s the SSHOW style. Click the chip and choose another official style or No style. To describe a style in your own words, choose Write your own.

Clicking the style chip and choosing another official style changes the chip’s picture and name. Video: Clicking the SSHOW style chip under the box opens a menu with No style, the official styles, Write your own, and See all styles. Choosing Mono Paper changes the chip’s picture and name.
  3. Choose the length and format

Click Details in the row below the box. The menu sets the quality, length, format, and motion. Length and format start at Auto, and AI fits them to your request. What each value means is in What you can choose.

  4. Click Create

Click Create, or press ↩. If your account hasn’t used AI before, the “Before you use AI” window opens first. Read it and click Agree and continue. While the box shows “Planning the scenes · 12s,” AI plans the scenes. When the plan is ready, the project is created and opens in the editor. AI names the project. On the web it opens in the same tab, and in the desktop and tablet apps it opens in a new window.

Clicking Create speeds up the light around the box while “Planning the scenes” counts up, and then the editor opens. Video: Clicking Create speeds up the light around the box while “Planning the scenes” counts up to 3s. Then the new project opens in the editor and the AI dock shows “Scene 1/7 · Cover.”
  5. Watch the scenes arrive

When the editor opens, the AI dock opens on its own, and AI designs the scenes one at a time. The AI dock shows the scene it’s working on, such as “Scene 2/7 · Our menu.” Each new scene opens as it arrives. A scene with motion plays once as it comes in. The empty scene you started with goes away when the first scene arrives. Wait until every scene is in.

The AI dock’s line moves from “Scene 2/7” to “Scene 3/7” as one more scene appears in the Scenes list. Video: As the AI dock’s line moves from “Scene 1/7 · Cover” to “Scene 2/7 · Our menu” and “Scene 3/7,” the scenes arrive one at a time, stack up in the Scenes list, and each one opens on the canvas.
  6. Check the last line

When every scene is in, the AI dock keeps a last line such as “Made 7 scenes. 56 credits used.” You can now edit in this window too. To change something, keep asking the AI Assistant.

As the last scene arrives, the AI dock’s last line shows “Made 7 scenes.” and the credits used. Video: When the last scene, 7 of 7, arrives, the AI dock’s line changes to “Made 7 scenes. 35 credits used.” and editing unlocks.

You can’t edit in that window while it makes the project

This keeps other edits from mixing with the scenes as they arrive. Meanwhile, the AI dock shows “Editing waits while AI makes this project.” above its input field, and trying to change something brings the AI dock up. You can still move and zoom the view, and pick scenes in the Scenes list to look at them. To edit right away, click Stop creating in the AI dock.

What you can choose

What the style chip and the Details menu offer in the Create with AI box
WhereWhat you can choose
Style chipOne of the official styles · No style · Write your own · See all styles. Official styles are the style guidelines of works the SSHOW team picked, and AI reads the guideline to design the scenes. With No style, AI picks colors that suit your request and uses the editor’s default font. You can also click a card in the “Styles” row on the home.
Write your ownIn the “Write your own style” window, describe the colors, fonts, layout, and motion of the project, or paste in a DESIGN.md, then click Apply. You can write up to 60,000 characters. The guideline stays on this device for your account, ready for next time.
Details › QualityFast · Balanced (the default) · Best. Fast makes it quickest and uses the fewest credits. With Balanced and Best, AI designs the scenes with the editor’s tools across the board, and Best takes more care. The credits one scene uses show next to each quality. A quality you can’t choose is grayed out, and when there’s only one quality, the menu leaves it out.
Details › LengthAuto (as many as the request needs, up to 10 scenes; if you give a number, such as “5 slides,” that many) · Short (4 scenes) · Normal (7 scenes) · Long (10 scenes)
Details › FormatAuto (picked for what you write) · 16:9 landscape (slides) · 9:16 portrait (stories and shorts) · 1:1 square (posts) · 4:5 portrait (feed posts) · A4 portrait (print pages) · Business card (a landscape card). The format you pick sets the scene size.
Details › MotionThe style's motion (the default) · No motion

Stop and go on

Scenes made before you stop stay.

  1. Stop

Click Stop creating at the end of the progress line in the AI dock. If you closed the AI dock, the chip at the top center of the canvas has Stop creating too. The scene whose design was on its way is canceled, and it uses no credits. The AI dock shows “Stopped. Made 3 scenes.” and you can edit again.

Clicking Stop creating changes the line to “Stopped. Made 3 scenes.” and Make the remaining scenes appears. Video: While scene 4 of 7 is being made, clicking Stop creating in the AI dock changes the line to “Stopped. Made 3 scenes.” and a Make the remaining scenes button appears.
  2. Make the remaining scenes

To go on, click Make the remaining scenes in the AI dock. When you open a stopped project later, the AI dock opens on its own with this button. If you made the project, you can go on from another window or device. Scenes already designed aren’t requested again, so you never spend credits twice on a scene.

Credits and the daily count

Create with AI uses your account’s AI credits. It uses them for each scene AI finishes designing, and how many depends on the quality you choose (by default Fast 1, Balanced 8 and Best 20 credits a scene). Planning the scenes uses none, and neither do scenes filled with the basic layout because their AI design didn’t pass the checks. “Balanced · Up to 80 credits” next to Create is the most a run of the chosen length can use. The last line shows what it actually used.

If the credits you have left don’t cover the chosen length, AI plans only as many scenes as they can pay for. The credits shown next to Create go down to match.

There’s also a daily limit on how many times you can create, and it resets at midnight Korea time. Only runs that produced a plan and a project count. Attempts to plan the scenes are counted separately, failed ones included, and once they reach their daily limit, you can’t create again that day, even with runs left. With a setting that uses no credits, the spot next to Create shows how many are left, such as “2 of 3 left today.”

If you spend credits elsewhere in the meantime and run out while it makes scenes, it stops before the next scene. Once your credits refill, click Make the remaining scenes.

If AI is briefly unavailable while it makes scenes at Balanced or Best, it stops instead of filling the scene with the basic layout. That scene uses no credits. Click Make the remaining scenes a little later to go on at the same quality.

When you can’t create

If Studio can’t create the project, the reason and Try again appear below the box. What you wrote stays in the box. If you’ve used up today’s count or your credits, that message shows next to Create, and Create turns off. If a run stops partway, the reason stays in the line in the editor’s AI dock.

What you seeWhat it means and what to do
No AI box in StudioYour account can’t use Create with AI right now. Check that you’re signed in and that your account can use the AI assistant. The box also doesn’t show if your role can’t create projects in this team. Depending on the service settings, it may not be turned on yet.
“You’ve reached today’s limit for creating with AI. You can create again tomorrow.”You’ve used today’s runs or today’s attempts. You can create again after midnight Korea time.
“Not enough credits left (3).” · “You’ve used all your AI credits for this period.”The credits you have left are fewer than one scene uses at the chosen quality. When there’s a quality to choose, its name comes first (“Balanced · Not enough credits left (7).”). Choose one that uses fewer credits a scene in Details to create now, or create again after your credits refill. When they refill shows in the usage display described in Credits and usage.
“Verify your email to use AI.”Depending on your account, you need a verified email to use AI. Verify your email, then click Try again.
“This style is no longer available. Pick another style.”The style you picked is no longer an official style. Choose another style from the style chip and create again.
“You have reached maximum projects for this space.”The space the project would go in is at its limit, the same limit as for a new project. Choose another space in the new project window, or delete projects you don’t use.
“The assistant can’t help with this request. Try rephrasing.”AI declined this request. Reword it and create again. This doesn’t count toward your daily limit, only toward your daily attempts.
“AI is temporarily unavailable. Try again in a few minutes.”On the home, AI has a temporary problem. Click Try again in a few minutes. This doesn’t count toward your daily limit either, only toward your daily attempts.
“AI is temporarily unavailable. Try again in a few minutes. Made 3 scenes.”AI was briefly unavailable while making scenes at Balanced or Best, so it stopped. That scene used no credits. Click Make the remaining scenes in a few minutes to go on at the same quality.
“Editing waits while AI makes this project.”AI is making scenes in this window. Wait until it finishes, or click Stop creating.
“Connection lost — making goes on once it is back.”Your internet connection dropped. Once it’s back, making goes on by itself.
“Stopped — out of AI credits.”There are no credits for the next scene. Once your credits refill, click Make the remaining scenes.
“Stopped — the connection dropped.” · “Stopped — it ran into another change.”The scenes made so far stay. Check your connection and click Make the remaining scenes.
“Another window is making this project.”Another window or device signed in to your account is making this project. Watch it there. If it stops there, Make the remaining scenes appears here too.
“Update the editor to keep making this project. No credits were used.”Your editor is an older version. Update the desktop or tablet app, or reload the web page, then open the project again.
“2 scenes were filled with the basic layout.”Scenes whose AI design didn’t pass the checks are filled with a basic layout, and they use no credits. Rarely, a scene whose design the editor couldn’t draw is filled with the basic layout too; its credits aren’t returned. Edit them yourself, or ask in the AI dock again.

What’s sent and what’s kept

When you click Create, what you wrote and the guideline of the style you picked go through SSHOW’s servers to the AI provider. With an official style, the colors and font names taken from the work behind that style go too. To design each scene, the plan and the list of elements in the scene before it (names, positions, and colors) go. Nothing else from the project and no images are sent.

While the project is being made, what you wrote, the guideline, the plan, and the scene designs are stored with the project so it can go on later. Once every scene is made, only who made it, the style, the model used, the number of scenes, and when it finished stay. The rest is deleted. A guideline you wrote yourself stays with the project and is deleted with it. The usage record keeps only the first 300 characters of what you wrote.

The first time you use AI, the “Before you use AI” window tells you what is sent where. Click Agree and continue, and your account keeps the record, so it doesn’t ask again until the AI notice changes. Click Cancel, and nothing is sent. It’s the same agreement as the one in the editor’s AI dock. For details, see the AI Usage Notice.

What comes up during and after a run

  • What do people editing with me see?

Their editor shows a chip at the top of the canvas: “This project is being made with AI.” They can keep editing. Only the window making the project is locked.
  • What happens if I close the window while it makes the project?

It’s the same as clicking Stop creating. When you open the project again, the AI dock shows Make the remaining scenes. A reloaded window doesn’t stop. It goes on making the scenes.
  • Which space is the project created in?

From the new project window, it goes in the space you chose in “Create in” at the top. From the home, it goes in the space of the project you opened most recently. If you have no space at all, a “My work” space is created for it.
  • How is a project made with AI marked on the Stage?

Made with AI in the submission form is on and locked, and the work gets a “Made with AI” label. If you made it with a style, the form names that style, such as “Made with the SSHOW style.” If you wrote your own style, the first submission fills in the Style guideline field with it.
  • Can I create in the style of a work I saw on the Stage?

While signed in, click Create in this style on the work’s page. Studio opens with that style picked on the style chip. Create from the AI box at the top of the home or in the New project window. Only works with a style guideline have this button.
  • Does AI make up numbers that aren’t in my request?

If a number that isn’t in your request shows up in the plan or a scene, AI is asked again. If it’s still there, that line is left out, or the scene is filled with the basic layout. Write the dates, prices, and figures you want in the request.
